actually a QOTD that I find compelling rather than insipid! and thanks for your recs. :-) on the basis of one hundred years of solitude alone I trust them. and I've been meaning to pick up the omnivore's dilemma-- this urges me ever more to do so.
Ominivore's Dilemma is one of those rare nonfiction books that is extremely eye opening, but still reads like literature. Y'know, as I look back on this list, I find it odd that 3 of 4 are nonfiction, since I'm much more of a novel reader.
